American Pedophile Arrested and Expelled from Cambodia in Joint Operation

Phnom Penh: In a collaborative effort, a joint task force, including the Cambodian National Police, Ministry of Interior, General Department of Immigration, along with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Homeland Security, the Child Protection Unit (CPU), and several local non-governmental organizations, successfully carried out a comprehensive investigation leading to the arrest and subsequent deportation of a notorious American sex offender.

Wilfred Willis Holley, a US citizen with a history of serious offenses against children across multiple countries, was apprehended on the evening of February 7, 2024. Following his detention, Holley was transferred to the General Department of Immigration for deportation proceedings.

The collaborative investigation revealed Holley's interactions with children in Cambodia, leading to his swift removal from the country. James McCabe, Director of the CPU, commended the rapid and decisive actions taken by the Cambodian authorities, the immigration department, and the Ministry of Interior in eliminating the threat Holley posed to children.

"This case exemplifies the unwavering dedication of all agencies involved to safeguard children from predators like Holley. It sends a strong message that Cambodia will not be a haven for such individuals. We will identify and take action against anyone who poses a threat to our children," McCabe stated.

The successful operation highlights the commitment of Cambodian and international agencies to protect children from exploitation and abuse, ensuring that offenders find no refuge within the country's borders.
